My Actifit Report Card: April 22 2026
Hey Actifiters!
Now that I'm back in Medford I am trying to get back to some good routines. I know I need to get more exercise and better sleep, so I'm back to trying to follow my schedule of getting some daily walking in and definitely considering how I can be more mindful about getting the sleep I need.
Today I was keeping an eye on the weather and thankfully it cleared up a little bit around midday so I took a lunch break walk. After having worked through my lunch, I walked the paths across the street from work which was kind of nice to have a change of pace and certainly was a lot safer because there were no geese trying to attack me LOL

I wanted to see how far I could get in a short ish amount of time. All in, Not too bad for a daily walk

I've been thinking some about what could help motivate me and my intention is to look into maybe a 5K run sometime in the fall. Maybe if I sign up for an event that will be some additional motivation to help me get in better shape and start running again. I'll definitely post about it if I end up doing that 🙂

Glad you're working on the sleep side of things, its the most underrated performance enhancing drug of them all ;-)
For motivation, i like the LINAS (life is not a sprint) virtual running challenges. They are group challenges, where everyone combines their daily running milage, no matter how big or small, to reach a team goal. Good fun, and not a lot of pressure.

Yeah, I'm finally starting to realize that sleep is as important as other parts of being healthy (like diet and exercise).

It's something thats so easy to neglect, especially when we find something binge-worthy on netflix, but it catches up with us eventually! Happy healthy!
