I raked today too. I needed a few for the compost and I usually mulch in the autumn to give that grass the extra it needs to go through the winter.
Oh, yeah! Colorado gets a good share of leaves, don't they? At least they are pretty! You don't have rain guards on your house? I don't get enough leaves to warrant it, but, when/if I do, I will get them. Raking is a pretty good workout, yes?
You should have given Doggie a rake. He was probably out there. :) It is going to warm this week again, feels like yo-yo weather.

It is a lot easier for me to compost back home because I have everything setup for it. I enjoy making new soil.
I've been thinking about getting leaf guards on the gutters. There is not that much that collects in them though and it is difficult to justify the expense.

Same here. I don't have the buildup, but, when/if it happens, I won't hesitate one second. You are right about the setup. I hadn't thought about that. I do love making new soil!
