Long Trek Home -- Actifit Report Card: July 5 + 6, 2025
Ciao Italy, it was nice knowing ya! Very promising breach series you got here in Sardinia. Maybe I will be able to convince some friends to get a house with us so we can plant a garden and play in the waves.
Saturday was a huge commute day. Check out of airbnb, return the rental car, fly back to Rome at 9.30, kill some time at the airport, then complete the second leg from Rome at 7pm. That was a long day.
Sunday, it was good to be home and sleep in our own bed. With the time change, we made it home by midnight. Most of Sunday was spent cleaning around the house and making a shopping list so we don't starve this next week. Feeling good to have a bit of a holiday after my holiday. Until next time...

Yes quite lucky they are playing the semis and finals for this event in NYC and not somewhere nicer like Los Angeles. I assume they are catering to all the powerful (and rich) European teams by putting it in NYC which is much more accessible to Europe for a weekend trip to the finals!
Yep... It's going to be tough for Chelsea in the final on Sunday... Paris is on fire.
If ever there was a team equipped to beat PSG it is Chelsea.
We are similarly a very young team with a lot to prove playing for a bright manager. While I don't think Chelsea are favorites, of course, we have a good shot and will give them the toughest game they've played in this tournament, better than Bayern in the round of 8.
Joao Pedro looks fresh coming off of holiday to join Chelsea, but I would like our chances much better if Caicedo didn't have that careless late injury after Jackson's LAZY turnover in injury time.
