Lost Lands Day 4 & Travel -- Actifit Report Card: September 21 + 22, 2025
I miss Lost Lands already. What an outstanding festival with a bunch of fun-loving bassheads. The vibes were immaculate all weekend, from our 8-person rave crew to the handfuls of new friends I made along the way.
When I left off with my last actifit post, LSZEE had just finished their mainstage-closing set at midnight on Saturday. For afters, the crew just hung out at the Crater Stage to see who the surprise guests were going to be. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would get nearly 3 hours of the most insane collection of artists on one stage: Subtronics, Level Up, Alleycvt, Crankdat, Wooli, and the legend himself Excision, all took turns dropping banger after banger. Insane b2b2b2b2b2b to end an amazing day.
Sunday was Day 4 for us since we arrived early on Thursday for the pre-party. And when we woke up on Sunday, we were all pretty gassed from the epic afters. We decided to take it easy, pack up around camp, and go in at 5pm to see GorillaT. However, mother nature had different plans, and around 5.30pm we got hit with a massive thunderstorm for about 45 minutes. It was so severe that they had to evacuate the entire festival grounds and have everyone head back to their campsites.
Luckily, the storm moved through quickly, and by 6.45pm, we were back in the venue. Conditions weren't that muddy at all, and it actually helped that there wasn't much dust in the air anymore. We hustled over to catch 30 minutes of Jessica Audiffred and then a shortened 30-minute detox set from Excision.
The rest of Sunday night was spent at main stage to see Rezz and the main feature, a b2b performance from Subtronics and Excision. Gosh, that set was everything I hoped for and more. They were finishing each other's drops. It was incredible and can be streamed on YouTube. Go check it out to see a masterfully crafted back-to-back set!
For the afters, we caught Acraze and Stumpi (Wooli's tech-house alter ego) playing some house tunes at the Forest Stage. Then we got word that rapper T-Pain was playing a surprise set at the Crater and we busted to get over there and catch the last few songs. It was wild to hear him talk so fondly of the EDM community and how much it meant to him to try new music in a new genre with a different fan base.
After T-Pain, ATLiens dropped a vibey old-school trap set that brought me back to the genre's glory years 10 years ago. We hung out at the Crater until they shut down the festival at 3am, hearing a few more artists play out their spiciest deep cuts and remixes. Nobody wanted to leave.
But sadly, we had to pack up and leave by 6.15am so I managed a short 45 minute power nap before we were set on our journey home. We made it to the local Cracker Barrel, a southern-style country cooking food chain that we don't have in big East Coast cities like New York, right at their 7am open.
After breakfast, we had to gas up the rental van then return it. Finally, we caught and Uber and made it back to the airport about an hour before our flight departed to NYC. With more luggage than necessary, it was an easy sell for my partner to convince me to take an Uber home instead of public transportation. It would have been nearly impossible to manage it on our own.
We made it back to Brooklyn by 3pm and I snuck away for some ramen to help cleanse my body and mind. It hit the spot and I chowed down a few chicken heart skewers for good measure. Nothing like some organ meat to help heal your body. Then I got home and took my first shower in ages. It felt so good to get days of grime and dust off my body. Finally freshly cleaned, I hopped into our crisp cold sheets for the best night's sleep. Until next time...
