Karaoke + Lyny -- Actifit Report Card: November 22 + 23, 2025

I love Sagittarius season, and I love New York City, and I especially love New York Coty during Sagittarius season!! Thanksgiving and then 3 weeks of nonstop holiday party shenanigans with the backdrop of the grandest tourist traps of North America (5th Avenue windows right up there with the mecca of capitalist spending). I can't get enough. The fire sign energy keeps me warm and sustained for the long winter ahead. I'll have time to rest when I'm dead.
Friday after school, we met up for Karaoke at 2.30pm with just my 6th grade teammates. 9 of us made it out + one all-star singer from the 5th grade (seriously, he is a professional temping as a teacher). We belted out r&b, hip-hop, pop classics with a fun crew in a private room.
I showed my range with Christina's "Genie in a Bottle," The Stones' "Gimme Shelter," Kygo's "Stargazing," and Cam'Ron's "Hey Ma" to shut the place down. I still got it! We shared a few plates of uninspired fried chicken chunks and a pitcher of ginger ale + cranberry juice. We escaped after 2 hours with private room, food, and drink for $200. I get a feeling we'll be back, and we with more people -- full school affairs.

Friday stayed in because Saturday was going to be a marathon. I started the weekend at 6.45 to get ready for a 7.45 time to leave my apartment. Then, off to catch an 8.48 train from Grand Central Manhattan up to Crestwood in Westchester. Mom met me for the scoop to head over to my childhood synagogue and beast of the east, North Avenue's very own, Beth El! Lucky for me, the timing worked almost perfectly for me to watch the early EPL game, my Chelsea Blues coming back from the international break with a tough road game against Burnley. All on the smartphone while underground riding on the subway and commuter rail. Life is beautiful! Up the Blues 2-0!!
My childhood bestie and one of the only cool dads who still keeps up with my child-free vibes was celebrating his 31st bar mitzvah anniversary at our childhood stomping grounds. It was like a homecoming!! So many familiar faces out of the woodwork! But no pictures on Shabbat, for shame!

So here's just a taste of the street art I saw after I made the trip back to Brooklyn. We hung at my buddy's house for a minute, and then another friend from Queens dropped me back at my crib. I had just enough time to tidy the apartment and take a 30 min power nap before my friends showed up for the Lyny concert.

Truth be told, most of the steps for the Lyny event show up on Sunday after midnight. Sadly, Saturday came in under 10K steps, event though the unlogged Karaoke Friday had 18.5K. Averages are looking good if I just could keep up with my posting routine. That's for another day. Until next time...

Very cool StreetArt... You can sing Christina Aguilera songs, I'm impressed... even with a lot of alcohol I can't hold a note. I love music, but playing it is impossible for me...
Back to the routine after a few crazy weeks at work.
Have a great Monday
Thanks mate. It is always rough coming back to work after a great start to Sagittarius season!
