TERRIBLE NEWS FOR EDEN HAZARD
Eden Hazard would undoubtedly miss the match against the table-toppers Barcelona later this December after he was diagnosed with a fractured ankle. Belgium forward injured his ankle in the 2-2 draw against Paris Saint-German after he clashed with Thomas Meunier. The club had initially told fans and supporters that he had suffered from a bruise.
A statement released by the club on Thursday said that after due test, Eden Hazard was diagnosed 'with an incomplete external microfracture.' The club did not say when the player would resume, but it added that his recovery would be assessed as the day go.
Spanish newspaper said Eden Hazard was seen using crutches at Real Madrid's team dinner on Wednesday.
Gareth Bale may e absent at Saturday's La Liga match because he was absent from Thursday's training session. The club has not released any information on Bale's injury yet.
So far, Real Madrid has been unbeaten in eight games and is second on the La Liga table with 31 points with Barcelona above them based on goal difference.
