VALVERDE SAYS FINAL GOODBYE TO BARCELONA
Ernesto Valverde, former Barcelona coach was at Ciutata ESPORTIVA Joan Gamper on Tuesday morning to say his final goodbye and collect his belongings he left there.
The coach took Monday’s training session with the players after the Supercopa defeat to Atletico and later met with Maria Bartomeu right there at the training ground. After the meeting, he was told he would leave the club.
After a lenghty board meeting held by the club, it was later announced that Valverde’s contract has been terminated and Quique Setien would be taking over.
The new Barcelona coach will oversee two sessions of training on Monday.
