The Dallas Mavericks post All Star Break 2024 (19 games after)
The Mavs are currently on a tear having won 11 of their last 12 games, their record sits at 45 wins against 29 losses which as it stands is good enough for the 5th seed.
Luka and Kyrie have combined to carry the Mavs to this very impressive run, this of course wouldn't be possible without the strong and solid play of their bigs Gafford and Lively who has taken turns anchoring the paint offense and defense. Their best wing defender in Washington has also held his own against the primary scorers of the opposing teams. Throw in the clutch plays from Exum, Luka and especially Kyrie, the Mavs looks unstoppable.
Updated below is the prediction I made of their season ending run, and so far they are still on track on reaching the 50 Win plateau. Considering what the team went thru this season with all the injuries and personnel issues, this is a very impressive run and looks very promising entering the final 8 games of the season.

If they win at least another 6 games, this should push Doncic case's as this seasons MVP, currently Jokic has the inside track, but I wouldn't be suprised if Doncic snatches it, perhaps another other worldly performace say an 80 point game should push him over the top.
I will sit back and enjoy these final 8 games! Get that 4th seed for the home court advantage.
