Ahora mismo, no se habla de otra cosa en los grupos de WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, y cuanta red social donde se mezcle el cubano con sus iguales. El mercado cambiario en Cuba una vez más se viste con su mejor ropita, la de salir, y sí, salió hasta en el noticiero. El cubano lo han programado durante años para resistir todo lo que venga, para que le meta el diente a todo lo que aparezca. Pero, los tiempos cambian, las nuevas tecnologías llegaron para bien o para mal, lo cierto es que uno se levanta de la cama, agarra el celular y lo primero que haces es ver a como amaneció el dólar, el euro, y cuanta moneda Fiat de los cojones te interese.

Tú no las tienes, ni un medio partido a la mitad de ninguna de ellas, pero igual te interesa, porque todo esto influye de cierta manera, de una forma u otra, en lo poco, o en lo mucho, que lo dudo, pero es lo que vale tu esfuerzo diario por mantener una familia. Al menos eso es lo que hace ahora mismo, el que tiene los pies sobre la tierra, porque sí, tú le puedes decir al cerebro que eso no te interesa, negar lo obvio ayuda a que el trastazo duela menos.

Y no te digo de las criptomonedas, porque la gran mayoría, ni puta idea de que ese mercado existe, se encargaron de tirar códigos y programarte para que cuando leas, o escuches esa entre comillas, mala palabra, lo primero que te venga a la mente sea: eso es estafa. Y así, no tienes que lidiar con la realidad, de que estás siendo estafado todos los días, al no contar con un respaldo que te proteja ante tanta inflación, que te va a tragar como cuando levantas la cadena de la taza del baño.

Nada más real que esa frase de: el ser humano piensa como vive y nosotros no somos la excepción de la regla. Nadie se ha tomado el trabajo de educarnos, financieramente hablando, y la verdad, es que, simplemente, los que hacen las reglas del juego, les importa una mierda. Al carajo si sabes de control de gastos, o lo que sea que hagas para que tu mediocre salario de 5000 pesos, luego de 30 días rompiéndote el lomo, llegue a fin de mes.

Cuando tú y yo sabemos, que un simple cartón de huevos equivale a 3000 pesos. Me pregunto, si estos sabiondos, que dicen que saben, o que simplemente, prefieren virar sus redondas y rosaditas caras, para no ver como los que, aún, se mantiene trabajando por este país, cada día tienen menos. ¿Podrán dormir tranquilos con su gestión? La cosa es que, luego varias campañas desacreditando a una página web, que simplemente se atribuyó la libertad, porque si, hay que decirlo también.

Pero no se les puede culpar, por representar una tasa de mercado informal que todos vimos proliferar, como resultado de una tras otra política económica basada en quién sabe qué estrategia. La que han tratado de tapar con un dedo y que, ha estado ahí, todo el tiempo, martirizando cada día la agonía de esos seres, que ellos mismos juraron proteger. Hasta el punto de tragarse sus palabras y aceptar la papa podrida, ya que no tienen más recursos que, crear una copia prácticamente exacta de tasa de cambio del mercado informal de divisas cubano.

Pero poco se puede hacer cuando lo que alcanzas a adquirir, al menos honradamente, no cubre ni tan siquiera una semana.

At least that's what it does right now, for those who have their feet on the ground, because yes, you can tell your brain that you're not interested, denying the obvious helps make the blow hurt less.

And I'm not talking about cryptocurrencies, because the vast majority have no fucking idea that this market exists. They made sure to throw around codes and program you so that when you read or hear that so-called bad word, the first thing that comes to mind is: that's a scam. And so, you don't have to deal with the reality that you're being scammed every day, because you don't have a backup to protect you from so much inflation, which is going to swallow you up like when you flush the toilet.

What some professors would call financial education is known here as street economics. Nothing is more real than the phrase: human beings think the way they live, and we are no exception to the rule. No one has taken the trouble to educate us, financially speaking, and the truth is that those who make the rules of the game simply don't give a damn. I want to imagine, right now, the faces of the people who spent eight months, a year or two, perhaps, in a CADECA queue to buy $100, and then from one day to the next they are told: kid, it's 410 pesos. We are dealing with these things now, but others have already experienced this. Let's trust in the ability of human beings to adapt to any environment, like cockroaches.
