El Domingo fue un día cargado de emociones en la pelota Cubana, los conjuntos de Camagüey, Sancti Spíritus y Villa Clara, lograron consumar sus triunfos. De esta manera, lograron mantenerse abrazados de punteros en la cima de la cerrada 62 Serie Nacional de Beisbol, que, como les había comentado anteriormente, inició sus terceras subseries particulares.
Después del domingo, Toros, Gallos y Azucareros mantenían balance de 7 victorias y 4 derrotas, separándose a medio juego de Las Tunas, que tuvo que suspender sus acciones por lluvia contra el rival de turno, los Tigres de Ciego de Ávila. Como visitantes, con escenario en el estadio Victoria de Girón, los Toros vencieron 5x2 al subcampeón nacional Matanzas, ganó el zurdo Dariel Góngora, quien jugara sus últimas temporadas con los Cocodrilos de Armando Ferrer.
Góngora solo permitió nueve hits en siete entradas, propinó seis ponches, solo boleto concedido. En el Capitán San Luis, Vegueros de Pinar del Río viniendo de abajo una vez más, tras una muy buena utilización del picheo joven que caracteriza está nómina, logran fabricar las anotaciones necesarias para vencer 7x6 al campeón defensor Granma, cuando como obra del destino llegaría el agua en el séptimo inning para terminar el encuentro. Por la ofensiva de los pati-verdes destaca nuevamente Frank Raúl González, quien vuelve a conectar cuadrangular manteniendo un buen turno al bate, noticia esta que pone a todos muy contentos pues necesita la tropa verde de poder ofensivo.
Este lunes fue de doble jornada para los elencos en competencia, como se había anunciado previamente por la Comisión Nacional de Béisbol. Bastaron par de triunfos para Vegueros, Pinar del Río y Cocodrilos de Matanzas, para así darle un cambio radical a la tabla de posiciones, en esta cerrada etapa clasificatoria de la 62 Serie Nacional de Beisbol, ahora se encuentran con balance de 8G-5P ambos punteros.
En la mañana del Capitán San Luis, Vegueros derrotó a los Alazanes con marcador de 2 anotaciones por 0, lo gana el veterano Vladimir Baños (1G-2P), quien pudo en esta ocasión controlar sus envíos, apenas regaló un boleto, cuatro sencillos e igual cuenta de ponches. Todo esto sumado a un uso espectacular del picheo relevo, el revés fue a la cuenta del Granmense Joel Mojena (0G-3P).
En la tarde vuelven a imponerse los pati-verdes con marcador de 2 carreras por 1, lo gana Yan Carlos García apoyado por salvamento para Orisbel Borges, su segundo del campeonato. Los lanzadores de los dirigidos por Alexander Urquiola, apenas permitieron 9 hits en 14 entradas, puesto que los dobles juegos se disputaron a siete entradas. Destacó a la ofensiva por los Vegueros, el jardinero central Luis Pablo Acosta, de 3-2, ambos dobles, se encuentra de líder de los bateadores de la Serie con (.487).

Por otra parte, las Tunas y Ciego de Ávila dividieron, a primera hora se impusieron los Tigres avileños (4x2), tiempo después lo hicieron los Leñadores (6x5). Entre lo más sobresaliente de la jornada destaca el doble triunfo de Artemisa ante el hasta ese momento colíder Azucareros con pizarras de 8x2 y 2x0. En el segundo éxito, las palmas fueron para el diestro Yunieski García, quien anota su segundo triunfo, ambos por la vía de la lechada.
Santiago de Cuba y Mayabeque también dividieron en sus enfrentamientos, primeramente vencieron las Avispas (4x3) y luego el mayabequense Luis Vázquez tiró lechada (1x0) para obtener su tercera sonrisa de la competencia.
