I would hike up a mountain in considerable snowfall to save a family member's life, but i can't think of anything else that would motivate me to move around in those temperatures. You seem to really enjoy this though so, have fun 😄!

I hope there will never be a rescue situation like you descriped. But hiking in the snow is really fun as long as you have the right clothes and equipment with you.

I'm from where 16 degrees Celsius is considered very cold so it's hard for me to imagine but I'll take your word for it 🤔
