My Actifit Report Card: November 22 2021
Hey everybody and thanks for stopping by today!
I slept in; actually even @silvertop did too! I’m thinking we both must have needed the sleep!
After a shower and a coffee, I needed to roast 6 pounds of coffee for a customer. I also needed a pound of decaf roasted as I was out. I’ve been drinking regular lately and was missing my decaf. I wanted to as well, roast a pound of a new coffee I’d purchased. It was it’s maiden voyage. That turned into 8 pounds total. I was very busy and actually never sat down during the whole process. It keeps me moving! Turns out the new coffee is awesome!
Once the roasting was complete, I packaged the bags for shipping and created my label. Then we headed to the post office to mail it.
Everson’s busyness from the flood is slowing down a bit. Folks along Main Street and some side streets have their belongings on tables and are still very obviously working on post flood cleanup. I didn’t get to Sumas today, but given that area’s devastation, I’m sure they are all quite busy. It’s sad to think that this has ruined their Thanksgiving and Christmas. I’m thankful that there was only one fatality in this whole mess. It occurred in Everson.
Once back home even though the skies were threatening rain, we headed out for a hike. I was trying it without my hiking poles to see how my back would handle it. Jan had other commitments and did not come today.
I originally had plans to turn around at the pond, but @silvertop coerced me into continuing on. My back at that point wasn’t too happy. Here’s a couple shots from our journey.
I’m not sure what adventure tomorrow will bring. I do have ladies Bible study and maybe a hike weather permitting. We also have to work on music for church for the coming weekend. An acoustic set as there’s no sound system in the coffee hour area of the church 😇
