My Actifit Report Card: April 1 2022🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

Where has the year gone already?! It’s April 1st, typically riddled with practical jokes and whatnot. Whereas I had no practical jokes played on me and I played none on anyone, my ability to speak this morning was laughable. It was like I couldn’t talk straight. Fortunately as the day wore on it disappeared. Tongue tied might be a good word, lol 😂
Anyway, work was busy in the morning; 5 family members took the whole morning’s appointments. The afternoon was a bit slower due to a cancellation and a no show. This ended my workweek. I’m glad for it.
Afterwards, I ran to the bank 🏦, the post office 🏤 and the grocery store 🏬 and headed for home 🏡. It started 🌧 as I was driving. It didn’t take much coercion to decide a hot Irish cream mocha and a fire 🔥 in the wood 🪵 lol stove was just what I needed and wanted.
After some blogging, dinner 🥘 and a spot of TV 📺, it’ll be time ⏰for bed 🛏.

Oh-and this last photo? Well, the woodpecker is responsible for all of those holes! I wonder if he was trying to be symmetrical? Many years ago, we had a home with a metal chimney for an old oil furnace and a shiny stainless steel wood 🪵 stove chimney. I kept hearing 🦻what sounded like knocking water 💦 pipes. I went into the basement to try to fight out what was going on. That’s when I heard it coming from the furnace. I went outside to discover this young woodpecker trying to poke holes 🕳 in it. When he failed, he moved to the shiny chimney for the wood 🪵 stove. I think he liked the birdie he saw there! Anyway, he hung around a few days trying to get something to eat out of those chimneys. He was a bit confused, lol 🤣 Silly birdie!

A woodpecker will go around, mostly to standing dead trees, and peck at the trunk looking for bugs to eat. They often sound like a hammer. My question is for their brains......that's got to be awfully hard on their heads! Anyway, we have a lot of them here in the Northwest, and we often hear them pecking away as we hike through the forest. Thanks for stopping by @joydukeson and have a lovely day!
