Summer's Last Hurrah!...I Think!....My Actifit Report Card: September 25 2022

Another beautiful fall 🍁🌻🍁 day which saw us headed to church ⛪️ in the morning. We had a guest pastor from down south of us-beyond Seattle way. He was interesting and a bit funny as well. Jan did not attend as she is sick. I’m not sure if it’s Covid yet or not as she’s looking for a test that isn’t expired. I’m hoping it’s not.
After church ⛪️ we came home 🏡 and loaded the car 🚗 with propane tanks. We were running low for the coffee ☕️ ☕️☕️ roasters and I have a customer order to do tomorrow for 6 pounds. We had to run up to Kendall as that’s about the only place to get them filled on a Sunday. I had a bit of sticker shock for just over 6 gallons was over $26! 😳😳😳 Inflation I suppose combined with the location I guess.
Then I worked on some house chores while @silvertop worked on some outside house chores. Then we went for a hike up to the off grid cabin. Along the way, I found Mr Woolley who is indicating by his coloring, that we are in for a hard winter!
Having larger black bands indicates a hard winter. If his red band was bigger than the black ones, not so much.
This peony is having a last hurrah for the warm weather.
Tomorrow is supposed to be warm as well. We are planning on an earlier hike, with coffee ☕️ roasting and continuing education in the afternoon.

Looks like great weather there. Is it starting to get cold?
No, not yet! You might even think we are in the midst of summer, it was so warm today! I am so looking forward to cooler temps! Take care, my friend!
Isn't it weird that it's hot during supposedly cold season.
This fall has been anything but typical so far. We should have already had the rain starting and thus far in the forecasts, there is none predicted. It's very dusty and very dry. We really need the rain.
Hoping it will finally rain. Not the torrential ones though. At least a good amount of rain.
Unfortunately, there is zero chance in the next 10 day forecast. Granted, that could change, but we will have to wait and see.
That's bad. Here, it's sunny in the morning and stormy in the evening. We had thunderstorm last night.
It's not common to have thunderstorms here, but I am missing some rain for sure. I will listen to an audio recording at work, of heavy thunderstorms and rain just so I can enjoy it.
I can't enjoy thunderstorms because of the lightning. I'm weary because something might get struck. Hehe
I understand. I used to really enjoy the lightening when we lived in Colorado. It was amazing! Take care!
Ohh. Here in our place, there are some people got killed by lightning.
It can happen there as well. I usually viewed it from the deck of the house. Back then, (before cell phones) I tried so hard to capture it with film, but alas, never did. It was seriously impressive.
Now you can do it with phones. There's time lapse feature.
I wanted to be one of your customers. I like coffee as well especially in cold weather.
There is absolutely nothing like the smell of freshly roasting and roasted coffee!! I drink it mostly cold in the summer, but when fall and winter come, I drink it hot! It's lovely! Thanks for commenting and have a lovely day!💜🤗
The weather is definitely starting to turn. Winter will be here before we know it. I hope we get some decent snow this year. The last couple of years have been sad. It seems like it all pushes further south now.
