It Was A Two Kitty Morning!........My Actifit Report Card: December 21 2022

It’s a two kitty morning! We needed both kitties to stay warm, but they had other ideas as you can see from the picture! They know where the warm spot is! 😻🔥🪵
I got up as I normally would on a work day, although I figured the county had not plowed. @silvertop (bless him) got up and geared up for 6 degrees, to trudge down the hill to see if the plow trucks had remembered us. Well…….they did plow the road ours intersects with but…….they didn’t take 15 minutes it would take to go up our road and come back. 🙄😔
I texted my boss who confirmed he’d closed us for a snow day. Whew! I might have made it down, but at that time, I would not have made it back up. I was glad to be home out of the cold! 🥶🥶🧊🥶🥶
I set up to continue wrapping Christmas presents. In the course of getting firewood 🪵🔥 @silvertop came back in around 1 PM somewhat frozen 🥶 and saying we needed to take the car to town and see how the roads really are. Enough people had been down our road that it was probably passable. The snow plow never came.
Along the way down, we came across a car 🚘 in a ditch. It didn’t look good, and I suspect it was a casualty from yesterday.
We still have a nor’easter blowing and a lot of roads get snowdrifts.
They were all along the way to town. Once in town, I stopped by the grocery and the wind just about knocked me down! Crazy!
As you can see, it was a beautiful sunny ☀️ day, but don’t let that fool you! The temperature never made it above 15 degrees Fahrenheit. Add the windchill factor in, and you were well below zero degrees Fahrenheit!🥶🥶🥶
I was glad to get home 🏡 to the warm fire 🔥
As I type, Cyle is all snuggled up on the back of the couch snoozing.

These snow falls are pretty but make it a challenge to get my roommate to her Radiation treatments on time. Thank God I go decent winter tires.

I remember snow, cold, and wind like that growing up in SW New Jersey. That's partly why I now live in far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I don't like cold...😂! When you go outside as you breathe your nose hairs freeze, you know it's too cold! Lovely photos, even if they do look like they're of the frozen tundra! Early Merry Christmas! to you both! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
LOL! You made me smile! I remember when we lived in Colorado, some days, especially when it was below zero, your nose hairs did indeed freeze! It's the oddest feeling, but what's even better is when I heard that they would warn children NOT to stick their tongues on the metal playground equipment! Can you imagine?! It hurts to think about.
