Monday, Monday!

This morning found me getting up rather than sleeping in as I had to do an odd Monday workday. We’ve been so busy it’s been crazy. The good part at least was that I got to leave a little after 1PM.

Once home, it was time to roast coffee for a customer. @silvertop was out as well and in order to keep his and mine on the same roasting schedule, I roasted a pound for me. That was a total of 7 pounds today. That pushed us back a little later than usual to go for a hike. The first pic was the last rays of sun as they found a little crack in the clouds to shine through. Here’s some more eye candy for you!

It felt like the humidity was so thick you could’ve cut it with a knife! It’s supposed to rain apparently tonight.

I will be headed to ladies Bible study tomorrow. Then @silvertop has to run to Bellingham for more electrical parts.

Hi @jenthoughts! Yes, they are some tiny 'shrooms and are around an old decaying cedar log. I always look for tiny treasures out in nature like this. I like to photograph them!

I am looking forward to the Bible study. I've been with this ladies group since 2015. Coming up in February and into March however, I will be missing them for 4 weeks as my coworker is going on vacation and since my work is the doctor, myself and her, I will be working M-F while she's gone. I will miss the Bible study while that is going on.

This is true; we do also keep in touch via FB messenger, so a lot of times, if there's something important, it will pop up on that. Do you have the opportunity to attend a Bible study?

No, I don't have a coffee shop. Once upon a time, we did make K-cups for a church which really kept up hopping and did orders for friends and word of mouth customers. Right now, I have a customer in Rhode Island, Oregon, Washington and maybe a new one out of Arizona. I've sent coffee to Japan once.

At one time, I wanted a coffee stand; the kind where folks would drive through to order their coffee drinks. Now, however, I'm glad I didn't do it as you pretty much have to work from around 6 AM until 6 PM at least 6 days a week. That's a lot of hours, and if you hire someone to help, it's just not as profitable. I am happy with what we do, plus the benefits of being to roast coffee for ourselves whenever we run out is just awesome! None of the stuff that sits on the store shelf for 3+ months and is already past it's prime.

How long does it take to roast 7 pounds of coffee?

I used to write stories when I did my world within a world series, from the viewpoint of the tiny people!

7 pounds takes about 15 minutes, plus time to bag, seal and then clean the equipment to fire up again. All in all with 2 roasters, it was around 2+ hours to get it done.😘🤗💖🌸 !LADY

Well.......it was actually cloudy all day. This was just the sun sneaking through at the end of it in the western sky. Nonetheless, it was indeed, very pretty!
