Updates-Ugh!........My Actifit Report Card: March 2 2023
Updates-ugh!!🙄
We use a specific office suite of software at work. I am the one who does updates and whatnot, and there was an update for it. So, this morning I did the update on the server and then on my workstation. Afterwards, it always makes me go back to the server again and install a second time. The update went smoothly and all was well-or so I thought! I had a social worker call me to schedule 4 appointments for a family. I entered all the pertinent information but the record would not save. So I wrote down their stuff and proceeded to call live tech support for the software.
The gal was great but even after running a repair remotely, it still had the same problem. After much consultation, they pulled the update and I would have to work around it as best I could. So, I figured out ways to save information in different places that would keep and was careful not to update anyone’s records as it would erase portions! 🙀 About 17 minutes to close, the phone rang and it was the tech support. This guy did some coding remotely and after about 15 minutes, asked me to try a couple things. He fixed it, thank goodness! Essentially, it was trying to encrypt records that weren’t encrypted and would throw an error code in the process. My hats off to those s guys at Eyefinity! A quick fix and now I don’t have to work around! Yippee! 🤠
I think it’s been the most stressful ‘me, myself and I’ day ever!

It can be expensive, that's for sure. Even with the wholesale prices I see, sometimes I am blown away, and lately everybody is raising their pricing. Take care sweet friend!🤗💜
