It's Here! It's Here!............My Actifit Report Card: June 6 2023

It’s here! It’s here!

Today was delivery day for the new fridge. It’s been close to 15 years since our last new one which is slowly dying. We originally found it at Home Depot, but purchased it from Best Buy instead. Here’s the pic we took in the store of it.

The truck arrived after 10 AM and the guys unloaded it just outside the front door as we requested. @silvertop and myself were going to get it in as he built our front door custom himself and we weren’t leaving it to chance that someone might not be as careful as we would be. See his post for the before pics.

We got it inside and took off all the foam and plastic it was wrapped in. Then began the arduous task of getting it into the kitchen. This fridge is much bigger than our old one. The old is 18 cubic feet and this one is 28 cubic feet. We ended up having to remove some cabinet doors and demo the pseudo wall end that divides the kitchen from the living room. No big loss as it’s coming down when @silvertop starts the kitchen remodel. Finally, it was time to try to get it through the doorway. It was a tight fit, but slowly we coaxed it through with no damage to its surface! 😁😅

Nice and roomy! We will let the oil in the compressor settle for 24 hours before plugging it in. Tomorrow, when I get home from work, I’ll fill it! Then it’ll be time to say goodbye to the old one.

Of course, kitty boys don’t like change! They’ve been on high alert ever since the truck pulled up this morning. However, I was able to capture a pic of Cot being silly in the sunspot from the skylight this morning.

Tomorrow brings my Monday knocking on my door. Hoping for a smooth day!😎
