A ‘Shroomy Kind Of Feeling…….My Actifit Report Card: August 21 2025

I haven’t had a good ‘shroom fix in quite a while! The spring and summer has not been conducive for their growth at all. Even given last weekend when this area saw 2.5” of rain, nothing! Now we’re headed into a 3 day stretch of intolerable heat if the forecast holds, so no chance of them growing just yet. I am ready for fall and cooler temperatures with just enough rain to get the ‘shrooms started again.

That being said, I went through the archives to get my fix. Enjoy a few!

Today at work was spent prepping for tomorrow’s return of the doc from vacation and a fully booked day. It could be rough for us all; getting back into the swing of things. Far rougher I suspect for us rather than him. 😏

I spent my afternoon loading some new lens offerings into the office software and researching lens enhancement charts from a couple of insurance providers.

Earlier, I created an Every Door Direct Mailing post card with my annual “2-For” sale. I’m having 4000 postcards printed up. Once they arrive, I go into the postal website to create the routes and pay for the mailing. Then it’s off to the post office to deliver the bundles. Anyone who comes in with the card will be able to purchase 2 pairs of glasses at a special price, including single vision, flat top bifocals or progressive lenses. It’s really quite the deal which will run through December 12th.

I’ve accomplished a lot while the doc’s been gone. It would be nice if he took a vacation every other month, lol! 😎
