Monday Sunshine!🌞………My Actifit Report Card: April 20 2026

It’s Monday once again, and whereas a lot of folks dread it as it’s the start of the workweek, I don’t mind it so much. I suppose it could be because with a few exceptions, I rarely work on a Monday. That’s not to say that sometimes it’s difficult to start the day.

We woke up to sunshine this morning. That’s always nice for in the Pacific Northwest, due to the oceanic influence, you never know what to expect. It can change on a dime. Here’s a pic of Mt. Baker from the other day when it wasn’t so sunny.

I headed up the mountain today to visit my friend who lost her husband this past November. I was happy to see she seemed a bit happier than I’ve seen her since he died. She had on some earrings and a necklace which gave me a bit of encouragement that she was feeling a little bit better emotionally. You can’t just turn off grief-it’s a navigational emotion that at times, hits you especially hard when you least expect it. It’s always there. Only time can take the edge off. We spent a couple hours visiting and she’s agreed to come to our church’s ladies gathering on May 2nd with me. I’m looking forward to it! 😎👍

Once home, I waited patiently for @silvertop to finish what he was in the middle of so that we could go to Safeway and get my lettuce for the week and some eggs as well. 🥚🥚🥚

I always find something to photograph at the floral department there. Prince Charming bearing gifts!

Once home, I hopped on the stationary bike for a bit. Hiking is difficult right now due to my hip. Going uphill results in some mind boggling pain, so I’m avoiding that for now. Enjoy some seasonal photos!
