It’s Snowing?!……My Actifit Report Card: May 18 2025

Despite the greenery behind the white ‘snow’, you might think it is snowing! Really, it is this…….

Cottonwood trees! There are a ton of them around and once the cotton starts to fly, you no longer inhale deeply as you don’t want to suck one of those fuzzies down, lol! 🤣

Happy Sunday to all! I hope your day was splendid! 😇🙏

Ours began at church where we encountered a wonderful worship and sermon. Once home, there were things that needed doing and once they were cleared, we went to the Starbucks in Lynden for my weekly mocha and apple croissant fix. Then, across the street to Safeway for a leek to make a vegan dish for Tuesday night. 😋

When that was accomplished, we headed down to the river. The rains had cleared and the sun was out!

I always like to look for rocks and things. Imagine my surprise when I found a rock person staring back at me!

On the other side of the driftwood, I found another!

I was quite surprised!

There was a couple who put a canoe in the water. See @silvertop’s post for a video of them.

It was peaceful down by the river. The birdsong was pretty intense. Take a listen as you watch the video and at the end, you’ll see the couple way down the river from where I’m at.

Quite peaceful. I listen sometimes at work to birdsong audio to de-stress.

That’s gonna be it for today. Tomorrow will find me heading to work early to try to get ahead on last week’s leftovers so that come Wednesday, I might be able to breathe. 😅 I’ll leave before my coworker arrives for the day.

On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea. And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore.
Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying: “Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
