A Simple Sunday…….My Actifit Report Card: May 4 2025

It was a simple but nice day today. It began at church, where our regular pastor was out of town, so we had a guest worship leader and our youth pastor, who is new to the church, gave the sermon. The worship was awesome and the sermon was excellent! He is truly called to do what he is doing. It is so inspiring to be in a church where the pastors are on fire for Christ!

When we got home, we did some things around the house and then went for a hike. I wanted to go up to the off grid cabin, up the High Trail and come down the Floor Trail. I’d not done this loop in quite some time and here pretty soon, the midges and mosquitoes will make it pretty intolerable to even be in the forest here on our trails.

I found some Trilliums blooming with a Vanilla Leaf directly below it.

There were some low growing daisies in a grassy section.

I snapped this picture of @silvertop on the way down the Floor Trail. I took this using the panorama setting on my phone. It creates an interesting ‘leaning’ effect on the trees.

The butterflies were busy dancing around us here and there as we hiked.

Jan spied a tiny ‘shroom which I promptly took a photo of. We aren’t seeing many as of yet this spring.

After coming down but before hitting the road back home, we stopped to check on Adam’s bees. 🐝

As you can see from this video, they were very busy bees!🐝

The lane was bordered with these purple flowers near the hives.

The bees happily working amongst the blooms were Bumblebees!🐝

The simple things in life-going to church, taking a hike, observing nature. It doesn’t get much better than this!
