EFL action set to take place as Leicester city host Brighton
The EFL action is set to take place today as Leicester City play host to Brighton in the EFL Cup fourth tier round as the "foxes" are looking forward to extend their winning streak in all competitions to four matches in a row.
Leicester city manager Brendan Rodgers after witnessing his team win just twice in nine games earlier in the season campaign, would have naturally had concerns about the development of his squad to be back in the better improvement.
However, with the 'foxes' three successive victories in all competitions so far, would have eased any lingering doubts, with Leicester city now in ninth position in the Premier League and in a better position in making its to the Europa League with the foxes claiming four victories, two draws and two lost in the premier league campaign so far (W4,D2,L2).
Despite Brendan Rodgers side three consecutive wins in all competitions, there is still very much work for the foxes to do in order to achieve a better results this season and also finishing in a better position to make it to Europe. Leicester city however, are getting their heads upright after massive wins over Manchester United, Spartak Moscow and Brentford in their previous matches.
With Leicester city's performance and relentless efforts has really made the foxes work very hard in all three outings, with the aspect of coming from behind in the first two games to secure victory before withstanding another strong performance with a 2-1 win against Brentford on Sunday.
Leicester city player Patson Daka assisted James Maddison's winning goal in West London game against Brentford, with the Zambian remarkable effort now having five goals and an assist from his last 148 minutes on the pitch and would really be a tough task for Brighton in the EFL.
Meanwhile, their visitors Brighton would make the trip to the King Power Stadium with confidence and eager to get back on track after losing momentum since the start of the season and would want to recover from their last defeat to Man city in the premier league.
The 'Seagulls' however, are not really doing bad in the premier league as they are above Leicester in the premier league table with four wins, three draws and two lost (W4,D3,L2), and are currently 5th in the premier league table while their opponent sit 9th in the log and would be ready to bounce back from their devastating defeat to Man city in their last outing.
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers may likely opt for a front three of Harvey Barnes, Ayoze Perez and Ademola Lookman, with the likes of leaving of Nigerian Kelechi Iheanacho and Daka among the replacements.
Despite having Marc Albrighton injured, either Ricardo Pereira or Timothy Castagne should possibly feature at right wing back for the game, and Daniel Amartey and Jonny Evans could also keep their places in the side against Brighton in the EFL later tonight.
With also the likes Danny Ward, Hamza Choudhury and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall should all possibly be into the Foxes starting XI.
Brighton's Yves Bissouma could be involved for the first time in the game since Septmeber 19, while fellow player Tariq Lamptey may be provided with his second start since returning from a hamstring injury for Brighton.
I believe Leicester will win this match
Yeah it's a sure win for them
