Saludos Hivers, En lo que sería un viaje turístico a una de las Ciudades más hermosa de Venezuela, como lo es La Colonia Tovar, se convirtió también en una cobertura periodística (tal vez sin profundizar…Pero como teníamos la cámara en mano aprovechamos la oportunidad), ya que el sábado 14 de febrero el Día del Amor y la Amistad, además del tradicional desfile de Carnaval, se realizó el 4to Reto de 21 km Caminata- Carrera desde Pie de Cerro en La Victoria hasta el Pueblo de origen Alemán, y nosotros estábamos allí en un viaje de placer, para disfrutar de todas las bellezas que muestra La Colonia , y cuando de repente vemos llegar a la Plaza muchos caminantes , es allí cuando decidimos capturar esos rostros de alegría, satisfacción, por supuesto de cansancio pero con el placer que haber logrado el objetivo.

Greetings Hivers, What was meant to be a tourist trip to one of the most beautiful cities in Venezuela, Colonia Tovar, also turned into a journalistic assignment (perhaps not very in-depth... but since we had our camera with us, we took advantage of the opportunity). On Saturday, February 14th, Valentine's Day, in addition to the traditional Carnival parade, the 4th Annual 21km Walk-Run Challenge took place, from Pie de Cerro in La Victoria to the town of German origin. We were there on a pleasure trip, enjoying all the beauty that Colonia Tovar has to offer, and when we suddenly saw many walkers arriving at the Plaza, that's when we decided to capture those faces of joy, satisfaction, and of course, tiredness, but with the pleasure of having achieved our goal.

Debo decirles que se generó un ambiente muy colorido cada caminante sonreía con total amabilidad cuando le decías para tomarles una foto, creo que no hay mejor escenario que este: El Pulmón Natural, la belleza de cada paisaje y la actividad física, aplaudimos que en cada celebración popular (como en este caso el carnaval) se incorpore una actividad para promover la importancia del movimiento dentro de la sociedad.

I must say that a very colorful atmosphere was created; each walker smiled with total kindness when you asked to take their picture. I think there is no better setting than this: The Natural Lung, the beauty of each landscape and the physical activity. We applaud that in each popular celebration (as in this case the carnival) an activity is incorporated to promote the importance of movement within society.

Conversando luego con algunos caminantes, destacaron que este Reto es muy exigente con una ruta que muestra diferentes dificultades: Subidas sumamente inclinadas, varios pasos de Río, una combinación entre el frio, la humedad algo de calor y el resplandor del sol ya en la llegada, Con una organización que se comportó a la perfección con una muy buena hidratación, en sentido general una excelente atención.

Later, talking with some of the hikers, they highlighted that this Challenge is very demanding with a route that presents different difficulties: extremely steep climbs, several river crossings, a combination of cold, humidity, some heat, and the glare of the sun at the finish line. The organization performed perfectly, with very good hydration and, in general, excellent service.

Asimismo, esta experiencia nos hizo contagiarnos con el ambiente y fraternidad, que nos generó la posibilidad de participar el año que viene, asumir ese reto, ¡Quién dijo Miedo…!
