How I finally Realized I was Addicted

I blogged sparsely over the last three weeks largely because I was ill. I had a fever which affected not just my physical body, but my mental and emotional state.

While taking time off though and ignoring things I felt weren't 'emergencies', one thing though was too much of a temptation to miss - my weekend runs.

At the start of the symptoms three weeks ago, I felt running would help hasten my recovery so I proceeded with two 10k runs on the 3rd and 4th of October. Those runs turned out to be a bad idea. My symptoms got progressively worse that warranted a hospital visit. Turns out running with a fever is a bad idea, who knew?

Well looking back I have to say my love for running is pretty strong as of today, if not almost obsessively strong. Am not complaining though, if there's one obsession am totally fine with, it is running.

Today's run was just to put a few Kilometers under my belt. I would start gearing up for another time trail run by December.

Loooool. I'm certainly much better and back to regular programming. Running isn't so hard, you just gotta remember to breathe always...lol

Take it easy. Don't start with such a high volume, instead, try short runs of 5km in length while you get stronger.
