Leofinance vs NBA Teams: A Comparison of Expectations

We are entering the all star weekend for the NBA, and by now the clear contenders for the playoffs this season are already known. There are those who are fighting to be in the play in Tournament in order to stand a chance at qualification, while some other teams are in the process of rebuilding their teams and have very reduced expectations for the seasons.

On publishing my previous article, the analogy struck me on how the growth and expectation trajectory of leofinance can very much be compared to an NBA team. We have different phases of expectations and capturing exactly where we are now should help us properly put things in perspective as we make plans for the future.

During the NBA trade deadline we saw teams make different moves and how the dynamics of their respective conferences changed along with expectations for those teams. The biggest trade move was of course Kevin Durant the Phoenix Suns, making them automatic favorites for the championship this season.

Such is the nature of power moves and how things can quickly change in an instant. It is also a reflection on how taking action inevitably puts us in a better position. Therefore the continuous drive towards development on the Leo space should not be taken for granted. Any one of those actions could be the one that propels us to the pinnacle of our expectations, while inaction certainly doesn't.

Before the start of the season, most NBA teams already have a strong sense of what lies in store for them. In order words, for most teams, the expectations are already set based on what is available and the actions they have taken. Those who were so bad the previous season that they got lottery picks obviously have far less expectations. There are others who have gone through this process of rebuilding and are now seasonal contenders for the title.

There are slight similarities and variations to the growth trajectories of leofinance and these NBA teams though. Most apparent is for the similarities is that after a period of building, a time will come when we begin to harvest returns automatically as a community and as a space. The major variation in my perspective is that once we hit our maturity phase, there would hardly be a need to tear down and rebuild like most NBA teams do after a while.

If isn't also completely impossible to see an unexpected underdog come and make impressive strides. We saw it last year with the Toronto Raptors, even though this year they have failed to build on it. Also, those who had all the stars did not necessarily become winners, like the Brooklyn Nets and LA Lakers because there was neither synergy nor was their hearts in it enough to attract the forces of luck.

Conclusion

Leofinance is all about building something out of nothing. We are perennial underdogs right now but expectations can quickly change and we need to be prepared for them. It only takes one major shift, change or act of Providence to find ourselves out of our building years and quickly on our way to crypto maturity
