Over the years, I have witnessed series of event which has widen my understanding about the world in general. the personality trait of humans differs due to different upbringings and societal influence, which has made it a lot more difficult for many to manage their anger impulses.

I live in an underdeveloped community, full of folks that migrated from the city hoping for a better life, being a rural area, the resident of this small community are fond of planting of crops and raring of livestock animals, which seems like the only way to support and improve their chances of survival.

Source

Despite this way of life, this act of farming and raring of crops has been a cause of conflict over the years. Some of the dwellers in this community prefer to just rare animals and some prefer to plant crops only, while some prefer both. the primary issue is that not many are privileged with the opportunity of having a fence to either cage their animals within the vicinity of their compound or protect their crops from getting eaten by the livestock animals.

Source

Due to this, both parties has been in conflict for as long as I could remember. in the midst of this whole hullabaloo, there lives a man who just relocated to his house but not knowing much about the on going conflict, this man decided to invest in farming without having a fence to protect his crops, over time has his crops grew he noticed that animals have grown fond of feasting on them, he became upset and angry and decided to take law into his hands.

He pick up arms, such as cutlass and knives to scare of and injure any animal that dares cross over into his property, over time he started harming live stock animals that walks into his compound, The livestock owners grew upset and reported to the chairman about the deeds of the man, the man was called but he also narrated his part of the story. in this kind of situation it seems the man has the right to protect is compound from invading animals but this doesn't mean it is right to harm the livestock of others.

it becomes an argument between what is constitutionally right and what is morally wrong. the fight went on for months between both parties because the owners of the livestock animals refused to cage their animals and the man in question refused to back down from his rage.

On one faithful day, while trying to chase a goat that walks into his property, he mistook a step, landed on the floor and slumped. he was found by his children, they call for help and he was quickly rushed to the nearest hospital. he was there for about two weeks and eventually he returned home but was unable to plant anymore due to the pain he sustained from the fall. I guess in one way or the other the livestock owners where jubilating, the pain in their ass is finally gone.

I came back home from school about six months ago, the community seems peaceful, while taking a stroll with my dad in the neighbourhood, we passed in front of the mans' building, I noticed there was a lot of weed in the vicinity of the compound among many other things, I got curious. couldn't help it but to ask my dad about the owner of the property.

I experienced the shock of my life when I heard of the unfortunate news, my dad told me he died about a month ago. I could not comprehend my pain and reaction at that moment. my dad informed me that, the injury he sustained as a result of the fall eventually led to his death. I could not help it but be teary because apart from the weed that now surrounds the property of the deceased, the wife of the deceased presently rare animals such as goats, the same animal that resulted to the untimely death of his husband. all I could think of is, what exactly did he die for?

LESSONS

Application of patience and tolerance to our day to day activities is very vital, not all things we experience demands abrupt action. life is vanity and change is constant. As we grow in knowledge and wisdom let's be mindful of our actions and discipline ourselves to control our emotions.

Luckily, I was passing by in this content. Anyways, I’m really touched because it makes me remember to miss our farming at my grandparent’s place. I hope our farm is doing well. Anyways, I was also sad about what happened of the wife’s husband. My his soul rest in peace.

Wow, what a touching story! Application of patience and tolerating one another helps reduce conflict. This is where the saying that "two wrongs doesn't make a right" comes to play. At the end, life is vanity.

Thank you for sharing this.

Now this was an interesting read. The question about what he really died for is one very inevitable question.
The reward for evil is always very tragic. I think that the matter would have been solved peacefully. The man would have probably made an agreement with the others. It could be a form of compensation or something. Injuring the livestock that people spent so much money to breed is just wicked. But what can I say.

What a life! It's really sad to know that the man died from the injury he sustained.

He could have just met with those rearing animals so that could come up with a lasting solution instead of chasing them around. He was just unfortunate because he took the wrong approach and if we are being honest, no one would be happy to see animals feasting on their crops.

Most times we don’t realize ourselves until something terrible happens, I think that’s what he felt when he sustained the injury #dreemport

In my home villa, we don't have goats because of this same issue. Residence of the community were banned from resting goats except they'll be caged.

The man didn't try, he should have improvised than to fight with the animals. Animals are animal, the more you kill them, the money they come πŸ˜…
