sᴛᴜᴅʏ ᴅʏɴᴀᴍɪᴄs & ᴀᴛᴛʀɪʙᴜᴛᴇs ᴏғ ᴀ ɢᴏᴏᴅ sᴛᴜᴅʏ ᴘᴀʀᴛɴᴇʀ.

‎Every student tends to have a study pattern to assist in better assimilation of our studies. One of the most common strategy students have deployed for years is to create study groups or choose a study partner. It might be a friend or colleague you feel highly compatible to study with. This kind of studying pattern has been known to work for lot of students over the years, especially when dealing with difficult subjects.

‎But then, you must have noticed I said "Most" students, emphasizing on the "Most" means that it doesn't work for all students. In as much as students come up with all kind of study strategies but before that, every student must understand that each individual have a unique personality, while some might enjoy the company of other people to study with, there are some people who prefer to study on their own and enjoy peaceful moments.

‎One thing I discover about most successful people is that, before anyone can succeed in anything, you must first walk the path of self mastery before successfully achieving anything because only after you know who you are, only then will you discover the full extent of your capabilities and tools needed to succeed. As a student I knew this and I also know a lot about myself, So my studying pattern does not really grants me the privilege of picking a study partner but then if I were to advise someone who is about to pick one, I might have few tips to offer.

‎As a student, the most important reason we choose to attend an academic institution is to learn and succeed in our academics, a student must never lose sight of this because this will determine what kind of study partner you end up with. You see when you have the mind set of succeeding in your academics you wouldn't want to settle for someone that would jeopardise it. Which means you have to be on the look out for someone with the same perspective.

‎The second thing to look out for is someone who is willing to grow with another person. I met a lot of goal driven students in my lifetime but I have also seen lot of devious ones. There are some students that sees academics as a competition and they see anyone trying be better than they are as an hindrance. Studying together with people like this will only lead to more problems because they are not interested in making others better but to be make themselves better than everyone. Believe me people like this can go to great extent to academically eliminate their colleagues to obtain the top position to gain recognition.

‎The third, after you must have found someone who have the mindset to succeed academically and also willing to grow with others, the next thing in line is to create a study schedule that is compatible with both parties schedule, so that you won't end up frustrating each other and lack of understanding can cause more damage than good. With a good study schedule and adhering to it, there is nothing you can't achieve academically.

‎The fourth is very short, it is okay to put your academics in the hands of God but please avoid over zealous religious study partners. This kind of study partner tends to miss up things and think everything will work out for the best, I'm not saying having a believer as a study partner is bad but even the Bible said in James 2:26, faith without works is dead.
