Spanish giants Real Madrid after a narrow defeat to Mallorca in LaLiga now turn their focus on Egypt's Brobdingnagian Al-Ahly as they look to start their hunt for their 5th Club World cup crown in 2022-23 FIFA Club World Cup campaign today.

The Spanish giants have won the competition four times in total, making them the most decorated team in the tournament's history. Their four victories have helped Spain to become the most successful country as far as the competition is concerned.

Barcelona are also just behind Madrid with three titles to their name, but they have been absent from the tournament since 2015. Having said that, they are still the side to have won the second most amount of titles at this level.

It has to be said I love Barcelona but also a very huge fan of Real Madrid, while growing up me and my colleagues used to call it, "The team of God" because of two reasons, one is that they always used to put on white shirts which made these super stars look like angels, haha... and the other is that the comeback kings always used to find away of getting the job done hence going forward I feel the Los blancos despite their injuries and current inconsistency will find themselves past today's hurdle all the way to winning the final on 11th February against Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal who caused a huge upset and beat Brazilian based leviatan; Flamengo, 2:3 to qualify for the final yesterday.

Founded in 1957, Al-Hilal have won the Saudi league a record 15 times and boast the accolade of being crowned the best Asian club team of the 20th century by football records-keepers the IFFHS. Saudi Arabians Al-Hilal made their first ever appearance at the FIFA Club World Cup, and qualified after beating Japanese outfit Urawa in the AFC Champions League final over two legs in November, picking up their third continental crown.

In Regards to Los Blancos Injuries;

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said during the press conference a head of todays clash that despite Benzema, Militao and Courtois being confirmed as absentees for Madrid's semi-final, it is thought that they could all be back from their injuries in time for a hypothetical final, should the La Liga side get there.

Al Ahly;

This year's semi-final opponents against Real Madrid are the current runners-up in the African Champions League. The Egyptian team are at the Club World Cup because the last African champions (Wydad AC) are Moroccan. In order not to have two teams from the same country (one of the places in the Club World Cup goes to the host), FIFA decided to give it to the runner-up of the African Confederation. Al Ahly have won the African Champions League the most times (10) and are the most successful team in Egypt. They also have the record number of matches played in the current format of the Club World Cup (20).

Al Ahly's late goal ends Seattle debut 1-0 in Club World Cup and sends them to semi final against Los Blancos

That's All for Now, Thanks for Reading,
Blessings!!!
