Didn't all of Big 10's ranked teams lose to the Big East during the Gavitt Tip Off?
Losing a game probably increases your chances of winning the Tournament. There have only been 7 teams that went undefeated and took the championship. The last time that happened was back in the 70s, a much different time then.

I am not sure all of them did. I think a lot of them did though. I don't really pay much attention to the teams outside of Michigan State. They are all that really matter in this world. People who care about any of the other teams are just fooling themselves :)
You are right about you can't be a fan of too many teams.
