How is the WWE received outside the United States?

As a 40-something who has lived in the United States all his life, I am curious to know how the WWE is seen outside the United States.

In the South, professional wrestling is part of our culture, and many people watch the pay-per-view events.  In the North, professional wrestling is not as popular and is seen on regular television.  People won't go out of their way to see larger events.

How is the WWE and professional wrestling seen where you live?  Is it seen as legit, entertainment or something else?
