Todo evento internacional luego de su culminación en el ámbito deportivo tiene que ser evaluado, y mas si se trata de un torneo donde se involucran jugadores cuya reputación y desempeño es de muy alto nivel, pues son los que le dan vida a un campeonato de manera tal, que atraen fanáticos a los estadios, el recientemente culminado clasico mundial de beisbol, tuvo muchas metas y expectativas que pienso en lo particular fueron cubiertas, y agregaria algo mas, creo fueron superadas, no se si fue el tiempo de espera, pero de lo que si debemos estar seguros es que ha evolucionado y ha tomado desde ya un espacio en el corazon de todos los amantes de este deporte, quienes han puesto el sentido nacionalista de cada uno de sus paises y llevar los colores del uniforme de una manera muy orgullosa.

Hasta ahora ha sido el mejor, no nos puede quedar la menor duda, de las 5 ediciones que se han disputado creo esta, en lo particular ha tenido ese impacto en muchos aspectos, puesto que lo han llevado a ser un evento ya muy serio y que pinta a que se mantenga en el tiempo, como el evento internacional que represente a este deporte como el que lleve la bandera fuera de las fronteras a la cual estamos acostumbrados a ver, porque ha superado a los clásicos anteriores.?, fácil, en primer lugar, evolucion, en un lapso de tiempo muy corto, hemos pasado de 12,16 y llegado a que el evento tenga 20 equipos, prueba de que no solo se ha crecido en los diferentes países participantes, si no que hay el deseo de los mismos de participar y formar parte de esto, evidencia de lo que les digo es, el desempeño de las novenas en el terreno de juego, que a pesar de no ser de tradición beisbolera dejaron una buena imagen.

Luego de las sendas lesiones y muy serias de los peloteros Edwin Diaz, lanzador de la selección de Puerto Rico y José Altuve segunda base de Venezuela, este evento les llovieron las críticas, si esta bien, fueron muy serias ambas, y sobretodo la del lanzador puertoriqueño, quien se perderá hasta 8 meses de temporada regular en MLB, pero debemos tomar en cuenta, que eso forma parte del juego y así como ocurrió en el clásico, pudo haber sucedido en plenos entrenamientos primaverales, no estamos exentos a que esto suceda, para bien o para mal ya este clásico mundial no tiene vuelta atrás, y se perfila a que se mantenga en el tiempo, como el evento de selecciones donde los jugadores a medida que pasa el tiempo van a querer no solo asistir a jugar, si no que lo harán ahora con mucho más orgullo por representar a sus respectivos países.
