Soy de la época de los años 90’ donde el béisbol se jugaba de una manera distinta al de hoy en día, y el dominio en la Liga Nacional, específicamente en la división del ‘‘este’’ era del equipo de los Bravos de Atlanta, tal dominio se ha mantenido o prevalece en este 2023, lo que nos dice cuan grande es esta organización, que a pesar de todos los cambios que han ocurrido en MLB, desde aquel entonces hasta acá, son el equipo con la misma esencia de aquellos años, un buen pitcheo y una buena defensa y bateo oportuno, protagonizado por un grupo de peloteros que tienen la particularidad de hacer cada uno lo suyo, sin meterse en el trabajo del otro, teniendo la principal cualidad fundamental de este deporte del bate el guante y la pelota, que es, jugar en equipo, siendo esto, la base para alcanzar un título de Serie Mundial en una temporada tan larga y exigente, que tiene sus inicios desde el mes de febrero de cada año.

El desempeño hasta ahora y por lo visto en lo que queda de temporada regular, evidencia de lo que se dijo al principio de la misma, que eran y son los principales favoritos a conseguir el título de la Liga Nacional, Mets de Nueva York, Cardenales de San Louis y Padres de San Diego quedaron a deber y estos chicos de Atlanta han mantenido un núcleo de jugadores que los están catapultando al éxito, lo que los llevo en 2021 a alcanzar el título de la Serie Mundial frente al conjunto de los Astros de Houston.

La buena noticia para Atlanta es que esas cifras coinciden con el gran regreso del venezolano Ronald Acua Jr. quien estaba en deuda con el equipo y firmó una temporada para el recuerdo. Con su ritmo actual, los bravos son uno de los favoritos para ganar la Serie Mundial.
