[ESP|ENG] Muy tarde | Too late || Opinión | Opinion

The human being sometimes has a series of behaviors that are never fully understood, beyond the good or bad that may be that attitude, the response of the other party is not very good either, no one can be able to judge another, because the only perfect one is God. But the lack of forgiveness is lacking in many, because resentment also goes hand in hand with other problems, and worse, there are times when it makes no sense to be upset.
Forgetfulness is also part of this society, people keep themselves very busy with things, which in the end will not be there, and that makes them forget really important things. I don't know how important Pete Rose was for the baseball world, but he was at the time, when he was still alive, as one more, who was quite questioned for extra-sports issues, which marked his non-inclusion in the hall of fame, something that seems to others, totally absurd.
We believe that if he was someone important in the big leagues, because if he was banned for life by MLB, I think that someone who had done the same as him, but of lower sporting rank, would not have been given so much importance. A person who has a gambling problem, as Rose had, cannot be involved with sports, in this case baseball, it is totally obvious that at some point, he will try to benefit, and that is something very serious.
His bad performance in that aspect, did not influence much in the development of the league at that time, it is not about justifying, but even though as manager, he had the great advantage of manipulating the game, for his cheating to be totally successful, other players had to be included, something that is quite difficult to do in baseball, since it is very easy to realize about that, it is very easy. It was never proven that there were players involved in these practices, so the thing did not go to another level in the game.
All this happened while he was the manager of the Cincinnati Reds, and not as a player, it only happened in 52 games, which is not even a quarter of the games in which he was managing (814). One of the arguments that should be taken into account, for a player to access the hall of fame or not, is what he did as a player, even if it was wrong what he did, his numbers were extremely good, not to be taken seriously, or opt for the non-forgiveness, to prevent his access to Cooperstown
The 4256 hits during his entire career, is like watching Cristiano Ronaldo trying to reach a thousand goals, it is something very difficult to hide, Pete Rose was quite a character, a pity that he suffered from gambling, but something must be said, and it is that he was a guy very dedicated to the game, every time he went to bat, it was a feeling that something was going to happen, and the rest of the players who were on defense, (9), all the time wanted to make him out. I do not criticize the punishment, but I think it was for a long time, and now after his death, they want to induct him into the hall of fame, when others in life, have been pardoned for the same infraction.
