Todos los años en el béisbol de grandes ligas se hacen diferentes análisis sobre quienes serán los más destacados en cada temporada, para este 2023 se realizaron una serie de estudios y análisis previos para determinar los que de una u otra forma llevaran la batuta en cada una de sus divisiones, también cada unos de sus peloteros con sus respectivas posiciones en el campo, pero todo eso a más de ver a simple vista quienes son los favoritos, es teoría, pero en la práctica sabemos que las cosas podrían ser distintas si partimos desde el punto simple de que nada está escrito y todas las temporadas son absolutamente diferentes, abriéndonos paso a la siguiente pregunta.? quienes serán los verdaderos protagonistas en esta nueva temporada en MLB.?

Como diría el famosos refrán popular: ‘‘lo que comienza bien termina bien’’ no se si sera el caso de los Rays de Tampa Bay pero lo que sí les puedo decir es que no recuerdo un equipo que haya arrancado así de esa forma como lo están haciendo los de el estado de la Florida, con un récord de 9-0 y en una división sumamente difícil, es algo que la verdad lo considero muy valioso e importante, a sabiendas de que en ella están los Medias Rojas de Boston y los Yankees de Nueva York, comenzar de esa forma es una gran ventaja, debido a que estadísticamente son números que en el transcurrir de la temporada y por allá al final de la misma, te podrían dar el empujón que necesitas para acceder a la postemporada.

Un equipo muy colectivo y en donde cada quien hace lo suyo, han demostrado en estos últimos partidos, nueve para se exactos, una tórrida ofensiva y buen pitcheo, que en estas primeras de cambio parecen ser muy buenas, la más reciente demostración de su buen desempeño del conjunto de Tampa, ha sido frente a los Atléticos de Oakland, en donde en la serie del fin de semana en casa han anotado hasta 31 carreras en 3 juegos, 22 en los últimos 2, y lo mejor de todo es que han sido por la vía de la blanqueada, sorprendente o no, debemos estar atentos a esta novena, que a pesar de que aún no ha enfrentado a los más fuertes de esta división, es un indicio de que van por grandes cosas en esta temporada, quizás sean como la de 2020, en donde llegaron hasta el clásico de Otoño, amanecerá y veremos.

La posición de los Angels no es tan privilegiada como la de los Rays, pero sí han demostrado un dominio, con los Astros de Houston y los Marineros de Seattle con registros negativos y aun sin poder arrancar bien, los comandados por Ohtani y Trout, han tenido un inicio de temporada con una ofensiva muy buena, apoyados en ellos, los de California comandan de manera muy mínima la división del ‘‘Oeste’’ con un registro de 5 y 4 muy cerca los Rangers de Texas, solo quedara en ver si con tan solo buenos números ofensivos podrán trascender en este lado de la liga, pienso como puede ser que sí o puede ser que no, es algo y por lo que estamos viendo, nos podría hasta sorprender en el futuro de este 2023.

Yo pienso que si, son 2 piezas de bateo muy valiosas y comprobadas, pero de no funcionar sería bastante interesante ver cuál sería su destino si los Angels de aquí a mitad de temporada no tienen un chance real, tomando en cuenta de que a ambos se le está próximo a terminar contrato.

Los Yankees de Nueva York son un equipo que siempre son favoritos, decir que este será su temporada no escapa de la realidad, pero viendo lo que han hecho hasta ahora y revisando lo que hicieron en 2022, será este el año de los Yankees.? cualquier fanatico y fiel seguidor de ellos diría que sí, pero si nos ponemos a ver qué han hecho desde la temporada pasada para ganarse ese derecho de ser favoritos en la práctica y en cosas que de verdad prueben eso, podríamos decir de que si, primero, han tomado el riesgo de darle la oportunidad de ser titular a su joven promesa de las granjas como lo es Anthony Volpe, segundo han renovado al que fue su máxima figura la temporada pasada como lo fue Aaron Judge, y tercero, han abierto puestos en su rotación a jóvenes lanzadores que en estas primeras de cambio se han visto muy bien.

Estos movimientos son sumamente distintos y no podemos valer de ellos para decir de que si, efectivamente será su año, se ven un equipo sólido, con el mismo manager y con la mayoría de sus jugadores intactos con respecto a 2022, nos llevarían a decir de que solo una muy buena temporada de los Rays, como de hecho está sucediendo, seria lo unico que podria parar a estos Yankees, agregar a esos 2 brazos frescos a su rotación como lo son Jhony Brito y Michael King quienes se vieron muy bien en sus respectivas presentaciones de debut esta semana, significan no sólo buenas noticias para los Yankees esta temporada, si no que son buenas piezas para el futuro en un equipo que se ha caracterizado por traer siempre jugadores desde otros conjuntos para poder sacar adelante temporadas exitosas.
