Kudos on getting back out on the trail. The triple-digit heat in Texas has stopped my evening walks. I miss them, but it's actually dangerous to be out in such hot weather. So, I continue with my biphasic sleep experiment and am keeping an eye for the occasional cooler day to get some steps in.

Could get record temperatures here next week. We have no a/c, so will have try and stay cool.

No A/C? Oh dear. Do take care.

I don't think the entire state would be livable in the summertime without air condition. I know folks lived here before then back in the day, but thank goodness we live in modern times with modern comforts.

Few homes here have a/c, but it's more common in offices. It just didn't get hot enough to justify it most years, but that could change and more a/c means more energy consumption which could just accelerate the change. Adapting to a warmer world will be hard.

True. Not even moving to traditionally cooler climates is any guarantee of milder weather.
