Whenever I run (albeit infrequently these days) am constantly focused on speed and distance. If I can't get a 10k in then I just don't bother. I certainly like this method better as I believe it helps a great deal with consistency.

Morning.

Consistency is a major reason why I started the streak. I realized the only way to run consistently is to run every day. Otherwise I kept slacking and postponing runs.

Your approach reminds me of a book What I Talk About When I Talk About Running where Murakami explains that he runs exactly 10 K every day and each day on the same course. Japanese mindset -> boring. The book is boring !LOLZ

Variety is the key!

Have a great day.
