Something incredible and amazing is going on right now in Bell Buckle, Tennessee.

Backyard Ultra Inaugural World Championships @ Big Dog's

Organized and led by one and only inventor of this ultra-running endurance discipline, Lazarus Lake.

Three men are still on their feet, going into their 76th consecutive hour of running. When they come around, in 50 minutes or so, they will set a new world record!

I am glued to the screen since Saturday at 7 AM their local time. Yes, they are well into the fourth day of running. Crazy!

The three remaining heroes are in their 78th hour of running. They all look very strong, considering the circumstances :)

After 80 hours and laps, Terumichi Morishita is out. He missed the cut for the 81st lap and is now crying at the finish line. Disappointed or relieved? Both, I guess. Backyard ultra is a fair but cruel game.
