First Run With Salming Enroute 3
Late-night run in humid and uninviting weather.
It also was the first run with the new shoes, Salming Enroute 3 were the highlight of the run.
When I stepped out into 3 degrees plus humid night it felt so wrong. I planned to run six to eight kilometers, rather less than more. Yet, when I started running, and when I warmed up, it suddenly felt right.
These shoes are great. Soft upper and firm sole. Light and flat. Quick even with a slow runner like I am. Excellent.
In the end, it was 8.6 kilometers of a very pleasant run on the margin between day and steady pace - 5:16/km.
I'll alternate these shoes with the other two flat and asphalt pairs of shoes that I own at the time, Salming Miles Lite and On Running Cloudsurfer 2.

I really hope I can get more short runs on workdays this year. Weekend runs are far too insufficient
Good grief....if you consider yourself a slow runner then I might as well just say I don't run at all
:) It's all a matter of perspective. And the time you invest in running, and your goals, and your physical condition, and your age, both in body and in mind, ... As is with everything in life :)
Consider that my marathon PB is 3:18 which translates to a pace of 4:41 minutes per km. Then tonight's run is short and slow :)
Of course, my marathon PB was more than ten years ago. Then the run tonight isn't so slow :)
Your only real measure is yourself. So, keep on running and put in some short weekday runs too. Good luck!
Couldn't agree more with the last paragraph. Already making plans on how to squeeze in two runs on workdays. Thanks a lot Ervin
