Hello friends of the Hive community, how are you doing? Napoli is projecting itself as one of the most serious candidates to lift the league title linking 6 continuous victories, Spalletti has been able to rotate and get a splendid performance, which Napoli had many years without showing, a soccer based on aggressiveness and knowing how to look for the ball without despair, and reduce minimum spaces, the work of this season is endorsing it. Napoli still did not know the word defeat, they face a Spartak that bets on young Russian talent and veteran players who have broken in their previous clubs winning titles in the best leagues, as they have also been able to provide their experience in the big instances and of course in adversity. Meret in goal, was well stopped by Promes' arrivals from the left, he was able to anticipate his movements and cut several plays, the goals conceded are due to mistakes by the defenders. Meret is a player who does not have good footwork, so unless the line of center backs was not marked, he resorted to playing long, because obviously he would not dare to go out and set up plays when that is not his forte. Di Lorenzo, in my opinion, was the decisive player who has raised his level in a great way, since the European Championship he has only had good performances. In charge of marking Promes, he was involved in making life impossible for the Dutchman, when he was going to play on the outside to cross, Di Lorenzo stretched his leg and deflected his balls, in the same way with his back he cleared a shot from Ponce. The only way Promes could escape the mark was when he teamed up with the creative players Umiarov and Bakaev, on the other hand Elmas had little work in defense, the truth is that he didn't go down very often to deploy himself and attitudes like that are what cost matches. He played very laterally, even though Spalleti told him to play inside, I must admit that he generated a good footballing proposal filtering deep passes to Petagna and Insigne on the flanks.

Petagna is very complete physically, I did not see him tired after the counter attacks with long runs from pitch to pitch, it seems that he was looking to exhaust the center backs and also knows how to position himself to receive when they need him most, although Caufriez blocked his intentions of overflowing and advancing inside the area, he tried, an explosive to the opponent. Unfortunately, the expulsion of Mario Rui altered the rhythm of Italian domination. In a collective play of Spartak, Ponce from the middle passes with the ball and finds Moses on the flank. Just as the player was about to control the ball, Mario Rui arrived with a dangerous tackle on his opponent's ankle, which could have injured him, an unwise move to contest a ball that represented a move away from the box. As a result, Spalletti changed the formation, taking out the winger Insigne and bringing in Malcuit, another fullback with the ability to get to the flanks due to his acceleration, but whose main task was to stop Moses and Ponce on the wings, a measure to continue with the line of 4 defenders and not get out of balance. Manolas did not have a decent game, he seemed to get dizzy, because he could not close the passes of Ayrton and Umiarov, I think that because of his bad positioning in the area, Promes and Ponce came up, which Koulibaly together with the support of Di Lorenzo, were able to control. Koulibaly is a hard rock to beat in the melee, the Spartak forwards knew that it was not a good idea to face that kind of player in one on one, difficult to overflow and a loss of the ball assured. Similarly, on Promes' counter-attacks, the speed of Napoli's center-back made his presence felt, putting an end to those chances. Counterattacks with individual players have no effect, playing as a team is the key to destroy this wall.

Detailing Napoli's play, I note that their center backs do not have technical gestures to get rid of opponents or risk throwing long passes, as do the defenders of Manchester City or Barcelona, in that case they compensate with their ability to wait for opponents and read their movements or intentions in order to steal balls, very much in the Italian school style. On the other hand, the fullbacks have more relevance in this style of play, they come out playing upwards to cross or in case they consider they have opportunities, they get into the box with technical resources such as dribbling, understanding that Moses and Ayton are wingers but they are not so fast in the transitions to the defense, The midfielders also moved back to cover the vacant position of fullback, while Di Lorenzo or Malcuit returned to their corresponding position, thus avoiding leaving gaps for the opponent, especially for Moses who is very good at playing in tight spaces.

Spartak dominated and could have even scored, but they measured their shots poorly, they still need to improve their finishing in front of goal, because the game was theirs, they could have done more. Politano is a player I like, and I would always put him in my starting eleven, he gets kicked a lot because it was not easy to snatch the balls, highlighting his way of moving freely around the field in search of fouls, either to cause free kicks or to make the opponent accumulate yellow cards, and thus limit them from possible expulsions. Spartak was down to 10 men at the end of the match when Caufriez put his foot in to clear the ball and ended up digging his heels into Osimhen's chest. With the same number of players on the field, it was too late, Napoli reacted almost at the final whistle.

First Napoli goal: Insigne takes a short pass, Fabian Ruiz receives it and runs on and gives a pass between the lines to Mario Rui, the Napoli winger passes to Petagna, Umiarov intervenes with high pressure, however the Italian striker manages to hold the ball, later he chooses to pass to the left wing to the winger Insigne, then he settles in and crosses directly into the opponent's box, Politano steps forward to intercept it, but Maksimenko approaches to clear it with his hands, generating a rebound effect, therefore Elmas hits it first time and is able to score, I would say due to bad luck, because the Russian goalkeeper passes the ball between the middle of his legs. However, I must point out that the goalkeeper's performance was deficient and with a lot of insecurity. First Spartak goal: Bakaev's pass to Victor Moses, Napolitano goes to the ball to reduce the spaces, consequently the Spartak winger gets into the goal line, Osimhen tries to reject it but it bounces, leaving the ball to Promes a little ahead of the semicircle of the area, then he shoots and hits against Koulibaly's knee, making the ball deflect and finally enters the left post. Spartak's second goal: Umiarov from the middle of the box initiates the build-up play, passes to Promes, Di Lorenzo plants himself waiting for Promes to come out on the run and steal the ball, Ayrton makes a pass, moving forward on the left side, and receives it. The Spartak player moves forward and makes a pass into the middle, the ball goes past Bakaev, so Ignatov shoots immediately and Koulibaly is late to cut the play. Spartak's third goal: Bakaev from the middle, dribbles past Fabian Ruiz, Koulibaly intercepts it by stretching his leg, the Spartak player deflects upwards and passes past the Napoli center-back, with practically 3 players fighting him, he decides to give it to Sobolev, unmarked. The striker runs down the left flank and passes towards the middle to Promes, who shoots with his left foot. Napoli's second goal to score the equalizer: The fullback Di Lorenzo gets into the box through the left sector, Promes intercepts him and the fullback cuts back changing his leg, puts in a low pass, and the goalkeeper stretches to try to get the ball out, but fails once again in the calculation. Osimhem pushes it into the net. On this occasion, I believe that Spartak focused with 3 players on taking the ball away from Di Lorenzo, leaving worrisome holes inside their area, which the winger was able to take advantage of and the striker Osimhem knew how to position himself as a good area striker. In the final play, Fabian Ruiz receives a long ball from outside the area and shoots first time with his left foot but it goes over the goal. Despite the defeat in the Europa League, it does not leave me with a bad feeling, I could see an Italian team that despite the fact that they came from behind, the team did not give up to score, you could see the exhaustion due to the numerical inferiority, because when you have fewer players, it is when you have to run the most. Finally Napoli will face in their next game against Fiorentina who will be looking to be in the Champions League places. Something that impresses me is that the team coached by Spalletti has only conceded 2 goals so far in the domestic tournament, and 16 goals scored, proving that the priority is to keep a clean sheet and not to forgive the slightest chances.
