Over the weekend, I watched a couple of women's European Championship games, but I will be talking about the game between England and Norway. It's been a while since I sat down to watch football, but I tell you yesterday's game was a thrilling experience for me. What a night at the Amex Stadium yesterday night where the three lionesses decimated and annihilated their Norwegian counterparts 8-0. Despite knowing the three lionesses will come top yesterday, I never expected a game of high goal margin, the highest in European football history for both women and men football.

It was a masterclass display by this brave three lionesses side that faced the Norwegian side. At a point, I was screaming at my tv set, c'mon! Show some mercy! Hehehe….I felt sorry for the Norwegian side that felt deflated and had no answer to the tactical brilliance of their opponents. In every aspect of the game, whether it's from the goalkeeping to the attack, the English side dominated the game.

I thought France vs Italy will be the highest-scoring game as the France side scored 5 goals in the first half of the game and Italy eventually scored a consolation goal in the second half but in the first 45 minutes, the three lionesses combined for a devastating effect and ran riot scoring a thumping 6-0. Oh…the telepathic passes, the pull-outs, and the tackles were executed to perfection it was just amazing as the stars aligned for the three lionesses.

I have to give it to the Arsenal ladies player, Mead who scored a hat trick in the 8-0, she was in devastating form and may just get to be the highest-scoring player in the European competition.

The scoreline was shocking because the Norwegian side is no pushover in the women's football world. But Beth Med's hattrick, a double by Ellen White, and goals by Georgia Stanway, Lauren Hemp, and Alessia Russo made the Norwegian women's side looked like ordinary even with the presence of the Norwegian women's in-form dangerous striker, Ada Hegerberg.

The stats say a lot, check it out:

I watched the match, the Norway women's team were not productive in attack, they made a lot of mistakes that led them to get trashed by England women teams. Big win for England.
