Hi friends of #Hive and my beautiful Full Sports community✨

Today I bring you a post dedicated to my usual general stretching before jogging, while I know that most of us know the great importance of implementing these exercises, however I have seen that many people skip it without realizing the big mistake they are making. Good stretching prepares the body for the sporting activity to be performed, we can activate the body, muscles, increase body temperature and in the same way avoid injury or future ailments.

It is a fairly simple routine of medium or moderate intensity, we say that they are general exercises because it works the whole body, before starting with the post, my recommendation is to start stretching from head to toe or from feet to head but never jump from head to hips and then the shoulders.

Now that that is clear, let's start with the post.

Warming up is a fundamental part of Physical Education classes. It is a
exercises that are performed before physical activity in order to gradually move the muscles and joints of the body, preparing the other organs (heart, lungs...) for a better practice.

My general warm-up✨

We must make the body wake up, make it active, move, breathe deeply to oxygenate the body and proceed to start stretching from head to toe:

1. Joint movement "neck rotation": we stand, legs at the same width as the shoulders and back straight we move the head gently 8 times (4 times on each side) from one side to the other, from top to bottom, from right to left and in a circle to the right and then to the left.

2. Articular movement "Shoulder rotation": Put your hands on your waist and move your shoulders up and down, in a circular motion forward and then backward. At the end of these repetitions proceed to draw large circles with your arms forward and then backward for 20 seconds.

3. Stretching of interscapular area or parallel arm: Cross one arm over the torso holding it with the other arm, it should be slow, smooth and deep. Count 15 seconds and change arms.

4. Triceps stretch: We take one arm towards the scapula (shoulder blade), place our other hand on the elbow and do a little force (15sec each arm). We will increase the stretch a little, this time trying to pass the scapula with the help of the other arm, this time we will not put it on top of the elbow of the arm but we try to take our hands and pull gently but with a little force.

5. Flexion and extension of arms: repeated movements to the front of your back, to the sides and above your head.

6. Wrist rotation: small circular movements inward and outward.

7. Hip hinge: Move your hips from right to left, back and forth and in large circles to the right and then to the left (8 repetitions of each).

8. Intercostal stretch: Standing, spread your legs a little wider than shoulder width apart, raise your arms and move from left to right, trying to reach as low as possible.

9. Knee flexion and extension: Standing lift the knee to the front and extend and then flex, repeat 8 times on each leg and then to the sides.

10. Knee rotation: With feet together, bend the knees a little and proceed to open them at the same time outwards and then inwards (8 repetitions).

11. Flexibility: With the legs open we try to touch our toes and back straight for 20sec, then we take the back to one side and then the other. The idea is to stretch very well so we keep stretching our legs. while standing bring one leg forward and cross over the other and touch the toe of the foot that is in front and repeat with the other leg. and finally bring your toes together and bring your arms behind your legs to go as deep as possible.

12. Ankle Rotation: Place toes on the floor and move in a circular motion.

13. Jumps: Now that we have stretched the body we will proceed to raise the temperature. Perform 10 jumps with the toes, 10 jumps with the leg and arms crossed (Open and close in each jump) and 10 jumps opening the legs forward and backward (Perform 3 repetitions without rest, if you are starting to exercise do not overexert yourself, take 15 seconds of rest).

Okay, now that we have done our general warm up and we have raised the temperature we can jog and continue with our discipline or sports activities but not before hydrating, water plays a fundamental role in all physical exercises. I hope you liked it and see you next time✨.
