Nothing Method
Motivation is never something to be relied upon. If you may be so kind as to try the method here it is:
Whatever you need to do genuinely just look at it for 5-15 minutes (it's usually 5 minutes but based on this I think it might be a total of 15 minutes + if this does not work I think those side effects are very dangerous)
Not allowed to do anything else but to look at what you "need to do". Why this should work is because if you genuinely are staring at what you need to do for about 5 or so minutes you will have boredom as an act which will make you feel like the only thing to break the boredom is to do what you need to do.
A few times I've paced around in my room doing nothing for 10-15 minutes and then I'd randomly sit down and start working out of boredom. I've tried staring at a dot on my computer for 3-5 minutes too but it doesn't work as well. 10-15 minutes sounds more effective for sure. The downside is that it uses up a lot of time. I think it's a pretty good method for the desperate though.
