Tunisia gets Revenge; Super Eagles Knocked out AFCON 2021

Why? When? How? Really? Indeed those are the questions going through Nigerians minds as the Total Energies African Cup of Nations says goodbye to the Nigerian super eagles in the round of 16.

I haven't really been following the AFCON I didn't watch the matches in full but I knew he score lines of some matches including every 3 group matches of he super eagles of Nigeria. Those impressive matches in which Nigeria came out successful gave a lot of hope and kind of gave a sense of assurance that Nigeria would go far in this tournament. Then this happened.....

Nigeria VS Tunisia kicked off with a bleak first half where neither side succeeded in getting fans excited especially not me I was ready to watch something else but something told me to watch his match through half time ended and the teams are back on the field were out of nowhere this happened....

GOALLLLLLLL!!!!!!!

An unexpected goal scored by Youssef Msakni left Tunisia fans jumping on their feet with joy, oh how much pain it brings me to see another nation rejoice at their fortune. An unexpected start but it want the end with majority of the half to play Nigeria could catch an equalizer. Time started to run out keg he super eagles of Nigeria then two substitutions were made Alexander Iwobi And Frank onyeaka came on for Nigeria this was seemingly a good thing for fresh legs on the pitch could lead th better play but apparently fresh legs on the pitch meant that nice and active legs would go up against tires and vulnerable legs. In other words Nigerian fan favorite Alex iwobi picked up a yellow card just after coming on until the referee who clearly hates Nigeria went to give it a dramatic and heart pumping check heat didn't even take that long(probably because he already made up his mid to change it but decided to play the he nice guy in the situation) he then redrew Alexander Iwobi's Yellow and gave him a Red🙂 sorry wrong emoji😡😡😡👺 and so poor Alex was sent off barley after coming on and so Nigerians like me were left to watch as our team suffered a red. Now things were looking pretty bad for The Eagles but with the amount of expectation and momentum coming we suspended our disbelief and hoped that out team would push thorough, but time was running out and slowly but surely Nigeria's dream of at least a quarter-final were getting crushed but even at that around the 86th minute we hoped and hoped that the same magic that was sprinkled on Burkina Faso at the 89th Minute would happen to us. Now you'd think that I would say that it didn't com but it did come in the form of a Substitute Umar Sadiq Nigeria's soon to be hero he made a run, an amazing run through, the ball came in and he hit it.... and to be honest time seemed to slow down
when this happened...........

Slowly very very slowly the ball nearly so very nearly missed the post why oh why just when our luck came in about the same time under the same circumstances of Burkina Faso it was just for that ball to go in
but it did not🤦🏾‍♂️.

The rest of the match was just 1 last opportunity of to mention that Tunisia were taking their previous time but in the end they got their revenge for the 3rd place position match we beat them in 2019 congrats Tunisia we lost you won this game wasn't really fun. But also congrats super eagles we had a good run but all good things must come to an end it's just hat I didn't expect the end to be so so soon. What more can I say I'm cranky, mad, annoyed and I would seriously like to have a stern talk with that referee but i decided to take my frustration and pour it into a post hays the great thing about HIVE you can share your feelings freely( well some of your feelings) and to be honest with this loss I think I'll just root for Egypt if Senegal in the World Cup.

I hope You excel in whatever you do.
