A Pair of Losers...
This reminds me of the adage that says, "two good heads are better than one". A set of twos can make a pair, and the better can either be good or bad depending on their combination.
Some might even say that combining both good and bad will make up for a good pair, but it is not always true. So, why not come up with a winning pair and clear all doubts.
A friend of mine use to say then in high school, he will make me withdraw from the group of boys misbehaving, then he will say, "so we won't be called a bunch of fools with them when seen".
I learnt a lot from this and it helped me to always keep an observating eyes for associations. Because they can make a person or otherwise.
