At the end of the road...

Hello everyone, how are you doing today?
Today's prompt is the exact opposite of the famous saying, "light at the end of the tunnel". This is problem at the end of the road. Which is why I will be telling a short story to effect this prompt, I hope you enjoy it:

Michael and his parents lived at the end of road, a very isolated environment filled with trees almost like a forest. It was the best they could get given their pocket size.

For a while they were really enjoying the place because of the the natural view, the wind sometimes can be overwhelming but the lonely environment was still a concern, as you have to walk miles to meet a single soul.

One day, Michael came back from school and he was home alone. He did his home work and was finishing up with his chores when a heard a sound thick in the forest, there has been an incident he thought, so he decided to check it out.

The brave boy, not minding his safety went to check what had happened. Only to discover a wild bear in the forest. He was smart enough to hide himself from the bear till it went it's way. He told his parents what he saw, and it was then they realized how dangerous it is to live at the end of the road, close to the forest.
