Modernize the town...
I would say that the prompt is a figurative expression because a town can be said to be modernized already unlike athe village or the suburbs. So, modernizing the town is a way of saying it can get better, I think.
I love the idea because everything we see can certainly get better, there should be improvement in the way we live and in the environment we are, it will help us thrive.
As I write, I can recollect a town to become a city through modernisation and expansion. This is possible, and it can be achieved.
A big question now is, who takes the initiative?
Where I come from, they mainly depend on the government for everything, they wait for the government to provide a source of livelihood, jobs, conducive environment and so on.
Instead of giving rise to entrepreneurs, it just keep them complaining and hopeless. But the truth is that we can build and modernize if we want to. The benefits are mainly for us to enjoy, so why not do ourselves proud.
