Bangladesh is going very well in the cricket field. The team had the honor of whitewashing the T20 world champions few days back. After beating England Bangladesh started a ODI series against Ireland's record with a record win. The 183-run win is their best win according to the run difference in the history of Bangladesh ODI cricket. For cricketing fans that is like a fairy tale told!
The dream of beating England in T20 is unfulfilled before this series. However, this void is filled by the party. A team made up of some great young players has proven that they are capable of beating teams like them. By beating England at three matches in a row Bangladesh got their first series win against England.
After England, Ireland the neighbour of England came Bangladesh to play a series. They came here to play a complete series. We all know that there are two ODI matches are already played between them! A 183-run victory on the first match, but Tamim seems disappointed due to result of the second match. The victory can achieved by more runs than the first match. But road to victory has been blocked due to unexpected things.
At first match Bangladesh batted first and scored 338 runs. Worlds best all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and the debutant Towhid Hridoy's excellent batting help Bangladesh to score that total. After that BD got a 183 run win which is the highest in the history of Bangladesh cricket by the extraordinary performance of Ebadot and Taijul in bowling.
The Bangladesh team surpassed their own record of highest runs in the second ODI. In this match, with the impeccable batting of Liton, Musfiq and Towhid Hriday, the collection of Bangladesh at the end of 50 overs stood at 349 runs, the highest in history. As a result, a target of 350 runs set for Ireland to chase.
But the match wasn't won by Bangladesh or Ireland. Rain wins!! Because the game can't be played on the field due to rain, it is declared abandoned. As a result, the Bangladesh team will have to look at the last match for the series win.

টি-টুয়েন্টিতে ইংল্যান্ডকে হারানো স্বপ্নটা ছিলো অপূর্ন। তবে সেই শূন্যতাকে এই সিরিজে পূর্নতা দিয়েছে বাংলাদেশে দল। দারুন কিছু তরুন খেলোয়ারদের নিয়ে গড়া দলটি প্রমান করেছে তারাও ইংল্যান্ডের মতো শক্তিশালী দলকে হারানোর ক্ষমতা রাখে। টানা তিনটি টি-টুয়েন্টি ম্যাচে ইংল্যান্ডকে হারানোর মাধ্যমে তাদের বিপক্ষে প্রথম সিরিজ জয়ের পাশাপাশি নিজেদের অর্জনের খাতটা আরো সমৃদ্ধ করলো বাংলাদেশের ক্রিকেট দল।
ইংল্যান্ডের পরপরই বাংলাদেশের সিরিজ খেলতে এসেছে তাদেরই পার্শ্ববর্তী দেশ আয়ারল্যান্ড। পূর্ণাঙ্গ এক সিরিজ খেলতে বাংলাদেশের মাটিতে পা রেখেছে তারা। ইতিমধ্যেই ওডিআই সিরিজের দুই ম্যাচ অনুষ্ঠিতও হয়ে গেছে যা আমাদের সবারই জানা! প্রথম ম্যাচে ১৮৩ রানের জয় পেলেও দ্বিতীয় ম্যাচের ফলাফল নিয়ে অনেকটা আক্ষেপই করতে পারে তামিম বাহিনী। প্রথম ম্যাচের চাইতেও বেশি রান করে সেদিন জয়টা পাওয়া হয়নি। জয়ের পথে দ্বিতীয় ওডিআই ম্যাচে বাধা হয়ে দাড়িয়েছিলো বৃষ্টি।
প্রথম ওডিআই ম্যাচে বাংলাদেশ প্রথমে ব্যাটিং করে ৩৩৮ রানের বিশাল সংগ্রহ দার করিয়েছিলো। বিশ্বসেরা অলরাউন্ডার সাকিব আল হাসান এবং অভিষিক্ত তৌহিদ হৃদয়ের অনবদ্য ব্যাটিং সেই ম্যাচে বাংলাদেশকে সর্বোচ্চ রানের সংগ্রহ এনে দিয়েছিল। বোলিংয়ে ইবাদাত আর তাইজুলের অসাধারণ পারফরমেন্সে বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেটের ইতিহাসের সবচাইতে বড় জয়টা এসেছিলো এই ম্যাচেই।
দ্বিতীয় ওডিআইতে নিজেদের করা সর্বোচ্চ রানের রেকর্ডকে ছাপিয়ে গেছে বাংলাদেশ দল। এই ম্যাচে লিটন, মুসফিক আর তৌহিদ হৃদয়ের অনবদ্য বেটিংয়ে ৫০ ওভার শেষে বাংলাদেশের সংগ্রহ দাঁড়িয়ে ছিল ইতিহাস সর্বোচ্চ ৩৪৯ রান। ফলে আইরিশদের জন্য লক্ষ্য দারায় ৩৫০ রান যা অনেকটাই অসম্ভব ছিল।
তবে ম্যাচটি আর জয় করা হয়নি বাংলাদেশের। জয় হয় বৃষ্টির। কেননা বৃষ্টির কারণে খেলা আর মাঠে গড়াতে না পারলে তা পরিত্যক্ত ঘোষনা করা হয়। ফলে সিরিজয়ের জন্য সর্বশেষ ম্যাচের দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকতে হবে বাংলাদেশ দলের।
