A bad Lose After the Historic win!!!
Few days ago, A historic win & today a bad lose, that's the scenario of Bangladesh Vs New-Zealand two match test series in New-Zealand soil. In first match, Bangladesh beaten New-Zealand for the first time in New-Zealand soil after the 16th attempt, where they break New-Zealand's 8 series winning run on home soil from 2017 to Present & also the 17 match unbeaten run in home test. Bangladesh did this which other strongest teams couldn't do. But they couldn't hold this winning rhythm in second match. Today they badly lost against New-Zealand by an innings and 117 runs!
After the historic win, everyone were hoping some good performance in second test from Bangladesh team. All the players played really well in first test match & won that match as a team. By this win, all players were looking confidence to win this series. But what is the reason behind this bad performance in second test match?
This match was held on Hagley Oval, Christchurc & the pitch condition wasn't same as the first match, there were some grass on it. In the very beginning of 2nd test, Bangladesh won the toss and selected to bowl first. New Zealand openers did really well with bat, they made an 148 partnership before Will Young got out by Shoriful Islam. After this, captain Latham and David Conway made an 200+ runs partnership & unfortunately Conway gets run-out after scoring a brilliant hundred. Captain latham made 252 runs & that's made the difference. They declared their innings at 6/521. On the other hand, Bangladeshi bowlers wasn’t good at all. They looked helpless in front of the New Zealand batsmen. Also, thy missed few easy chances while fielding.
While batting, Bangladeshi batters looked helpless in fort of the New Zealand bowlers. First five batters gone at the stage of only 27 runs. After this, Yasir Ali & Nurul hasan Sohan made some runs, where Yasir made a fifty. By playing only 41.2 overs, Bangladesh gets all-out in only 126 runs. Eight batters gets out without scoring a double digit, three of them gets out at 0 runs. New-Zealand bowler Boult gets five wickets and three by Southee.
Bangladesh was very far from avoid follow-on & that's why they came for batting again. They did same thing again which cause a lost by an innings and 117 runs. But, Liton Das was excellent in 2nd innings, he made a gorgeous hundred by playing 110 balls only. By this lose, this series ended 1-1. That was a very bad performance from Bangladesh team, they disappointed all the supporters.
On the other hand, New Zealand did an excellent job. After the lost in first test match they came back outstandingly. Their partnership in the first innings was the deal. They put up a perfect performance. Also Ross taylor has finished his test career with a wicket of his last ball. He announced his retirement from all formats of cricket and that win is for him.
