The Test Championship, the biggest battle in the world of test cricket, has come to an end with an epic final. Two superpowers of the cricket world, India and Australia played in the final. The match was held at the Oval, England's traditional cricket ground. Where India was defeated by Cricket Australia by 200+ runs! With this victory, the five-time world champions won the Test Championship title for the first time as the second team. Earlier, New Zealand won the title in the first tournament.

India's captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl at the start of the match in England. It is known that he made such a decision considering the condition of England. Rohit's plan was to pick up the wickets of the opposition at the beginning and put pressure on them. Therefore, Indian team leader Rohit Sharma invited Cricket Australia to bat at the beginning. Two openers Osman Khawaja and David Warner started the innings for Australia in the final. However, the Australian openers didn't make a good start in the Test Championship final for the team.

Opener Osman Khawaja returned to the pavilion after getting out for only two runs. After Khawaja's departure, a pair of 70 runs were made by David Warner and Laboucheine. Shortly after that, the team was under pressure after losing two consecutive wickets. By handling that pressure, two experienced batsmen Steven Smith and Head took the team to a strong position. The duo averaged 180+ pairs. As well, both picked up personal hundreds. Head also completed a personal 150 run after the century. Australia's first innings stopped at 469 runs after these two batters were out. For India, Siraj took Australia's valuable four wickets!

In response, India came under pressure in their first innings. The team lost four valuable wickets for just 71 runs. After such a performance by the opening batsmen, there was a fear of losing by an inning. However, the team was able to pass the follow-on with Rahane's wonderful innings, Thakur's 51, and Jadeja's 48 runs. However, being all out for 296 runs, the team trailed by 173 runs at the end of the first innings.

With a lead of 173 runs, Warner came back to bat at the start of their 2nd innings. However, with the contribution of Alex Carey, Mitchell Starc, and Steven Smith, Australia declared the innings for 270 runs. The target in front of India is more than 450+ runs. The South Asian team couldn't cross that target. No Indian batsman could score 50 runs. As a result, Team India was all out for 234 runs. With this, Cricket Australia won the Test Championship title with a huge victory of 209 runs.

Better to say, Kane Williamson's New Zealand is the first champion of the Test Championship. Last season Kane Williamson's team won the Test Championship title by defeating England on the soil of England.

From the second innings, I thought that this match was going for a draw. Australia was front foot all the time but in the last innings, I was expecting an impressive inning from India that could give them victory although I knew it was very hard for them.
